Holy Cross New Sign Initiative PageHoly Cross New Sign Initiative As you all know, the congregation has approved beginning a fund raising drive to purchase a new replacement sign for Greenbelt Road to replace the current white sign (used to put announcements of upcoming events) and the current brown sign with our name and service times. Bob Smith and Jeff Burt have worked for the past five months collecting proposals from local companies to replace these two signs. We received proposals from four companies with bids ranging from $26,000 to $46,000. In addition to the price of the sign, we are anticipating another $2000 in permitting fees and $1000 in electrical expenses. Please consider using the envelopes located on the welcome center to make designated contribution to the sign fund, but please don’t reduce your regular contributions to the church. We are hoping to raise at least $12,000 to cover the down payment for the sign. We will continue to raise money for the remainder of the expenses but will be covering the rest of the costs using our contingency fund (which we need to keep in case we need other repairs to the church building).
